I have a stock 97 XJ.
It will never have over a 3" lift or have any larger than 31" tires. ever!
I want to do a tie rod flip only on the driver side.
it does not matter to me if I use the tapered cones or the stepped inserts.
What I want to know is:
I want to use the

for this mod.
they tell me it will not work......... I just do not see how it can not work for me.
Will the tie rod hit the wheel? if that is the problem; how much of a spacer do it need?
can anyone help please?

ok I bought a 99 grand with the 4.7 had a bad bearing bought a 2000 Durango motor {crashed hard in front end} jeep start and runs but seams to be on one side only.drivers side shows spark but when I pull a coil wire off no change at all .pass side will kill the motor.all 4 plugs are the same when I pull them off while running.replaced the crank and cam sensors but no change .leaning to the ecm any help

I did last night. They said all tires zeroed out except one (which they said was only a little off), and one rim appeared to wobble on the balancer. My rims were not bent before.

Anyone else that can give a more definitive answer why? Or has done tie rod flips before with larger tie rods?

Five U joints, and yes/sorta. The joints at the double-cardan may be a different spec from other three on account of the centering ball, but you can just order 5 of those and use them universally.

One more question (I'm gonna get them balanced elsewhere) but do people normally need a road force balancing for their tires? Or does a regular old one usually do fine? Theyve done fine for me so far...

Weeelll sorta. What I mean is that alloy rims don't really bend, they shatter

Well, at least it still means ot is doubtful that they are bent. Lol
