I remember one time I saw an alloy rim get slightly pressed by a lift. Guy had left the tire next to the lift as he did a rotation and he brought the liuft down some and didn't see the tire there. Tire was pressed into a perfect oval and the rim was fine. hes lucky it didn't shatter or pop the tire.

its funny the things you see when you don't do the work yourself or so somewhere you trust.

Some tires are hard to balance and the cheap machines don't do to well, especially with unskilled operators. RoadForce has fixed a number of death wobble problems. Like sycoglitch mentioned it's definitely possible the tire is defective, and yeah the rim could be damaged or just mounted wrong. If you've gone back twice to Wal-Mart my next step would be a real garage that has clueful employees.

edit: Heres the ones I ordered for my 01 IIRC. great service and good prices too.

Spicer 1310 or any joint that lists the CV join in it's application.

The thing that makes them different is the little cup:

Firestone techs came through with actual thorough knowledge of wtf is going on. Balanced nicely and riding well. At walmart now fighting for refund/reimbursement.

Listen to the wise of CF people... go elsewhere.

That's the passenger side. The drivers side isn't rusted yet. No to do the cut and fold where do I start? Do I grind off the clip bracket 1st?
