Electrical question:
My LED light bar came with an On/Off switch that illuminates when on. I want to replace it with my OEM fog light switch which operates the same way.
(Don't worry about the relays and such; I'm using a separate harness instead of the OEM fog light wiring. I just want to use the switch.)
The setup works with the included switch. It doesn't work with the fog light switch.
Both have ground on top (A), constant in the middle (B), and switched on the bottom (C).
The included switch doesn't have continuity between any poles when flipped to the Off position. When on, it has no resistance between B and C.
The fog light switch has 48 ohms resistance between A and C in the off position. When flipped On, it has 48 ohms resistance between A and B and also between A and C. No resistance between B and C in the On position.
What's with the 48 ohms, and why doesn't the OEM fog light switch work for me?

Sounds like your fog light switch is 12V C, ground A, and load on B, with two bulbs in series.

So, update from the other day... the fluid helped a lot with quicker shifts. I did notice that the shifting between P/R/D seems to have gotten a bit more jarring, and unfortunately the "slipping" or whatever was going on didn't stop... so I guess the next step is to test the TPS and then possibly replace it? If I do end up needing to do so, is the Duralast TPS fine or should I stick with the Mopar one?

Means your XJ is like the rest of them. Lol
Sometimes the bulb goes, sometimes the wiring is chewed by rodents, sometimes the contacts in the plug are corroded.

This. I replaced the bulb, cleaned the connectors, and finally cleaned the 'button end' switch that pushes in with 4x4 to illuminate the light. I said 'f it' and will be making my own circuit/switch/light that bypasses all the dash hook-up and CAD bullcrap.

Is there a way I can still make it work, or do I need to use a different switch?

I was gonna mess with it when I got to work, but the Bruins game takes precedence. I might go out to the parking lot during the first intermission, but I may also end up waiting til tomorrow due to the outside temps (around -6°C and windy).
I'll post up what I find if I get out there tonight.
