Not sure what you mean. On '97+ the speedo & odo are components that are soldered to the cluster circuit board.

If you want to modify the odometer reading on '97+ you need to talk to the dealer, they can do programming. They may not want to, however, at the bare minimum full disclosure and documentation or witnessing of the swap will be required.

91-96 transmissions are interchangeable. 97 is a standalone year. 98-01 interchange

My heat went out. Any idea what caused it?

Little background: only had air coming through defrost since summer, worked fine this morning, but when I started it this afternoon nothing.

I did a transmission swap on my 1996 jeep cherokee. My wiring for my transmission does not match the wiring on my engine. The transmission is a 8 prong, and my truck is a 7. I am wondering if there is any way around dropping my transmission oil pan and rewiring the tranny. The neutral safety switch is good to go because I used the one off of my old transmission. Both transmissions are the same model just, different wiring. The black plug is from the transmission and the white is the one on the engine.

Did you read the link from yesterday? Everything except wiring diagrams are in there. Is that what you need?

Probably the combined manifold gasket. In 2000 model year for XJs, 1999 for WJs, the 4.0L got a new 0331 model head and exhaust ports changed shape. 1996-1999 on XJs use the same 0630 model head.

The blower motor in my 91 stopped working this morning. It came on for a second then nothing, like the fuse blew, but the 25 amp in the BLOWER slot on the fusebox tests good. Its completely dead, not low speed or anything, just ... nothing. I am home from work for lunch and have not been able to do any more diagnostics, wondering if anybody has an idea on the likely culprit.
