Thank you sir... we tried an Allen but it's definitely a torx.... wanted to do it when I was all drained, liking the Rotella t6 that most on here use. Price is a little high but worth it, just went with a premium car quest oil filter

Hi! Thanks in advance for reading and for any advice you can give me! I'm building a Heinz-57 XJ ('01 Cherokee Sport) using an older engine that has been in more vehicles than Jeremy Clarkson. I need to mount a '97 intake and '01 exhaust manifold onto a '89 cylinder head. The intake matches up perfectly, but using a gasket intended for the '89 cylinder head leaves a small gap around the exhaust ports. The '01 exhaust manifold has smaller, square-ish ports while the '89 head has larger, rounder exhaust ports. I have to use the '01 manifold in order to maintain the emission equipment (it has four O2 sensors in it) and to use the '01 exhaust system. I can't afford to replace the manifold or buy an aftermarket one. So my question(s) are:
Has anyone used the '01 style intake/exhaust gasket on an older cylinder head?
Has anyone who's done a similar build found a viable solution for the issue?
And finally, Magnets. How do they work? Just kidding (about the magnets).
Thanks for your help,

You might want to get that thing checked for VD.
Strictly speaking, YES, people use the '01 on older heads. XJ heads are:
1987-1990: 2686 casting
1991-1995: 7120 casting
1996-1999: 0630 casting
2001-2005: 0331 casting (TUPY revision 2002+)
In terms of exhaust ports, 7120 and 0630 are the only heads with the same shape. There exists an adapter to adapt the 0331 exhaust onto the previous head, here: http://jeepexhaustadapter.com/
A clever guy wrote that the '91+ exhaust manifolds will fit onto a Renix pretty closely, but looking at these gasket pictures the holes aren't quite the same shape. If you're concerned about a possible hit from the mismatch you could take the Renix gasket on one side of the adapter and port-match it so it's a smooth transition. Or if you actually care about performance, a later-model head has better flow figures anyway.
Magnets work through magnetism.

Whats this called? Connected to the fan clutch and has a couple of hoses coming out of the back that run into the AC system. I can hear a soft whine coming from it and when i touch the hoses i can tell that there is a vibration associated with that whine

I have the cargo net that protects passengers. It will support an improvised headrest when needed.

There any opinions on radiator replacements out there? How hard is the overall process? How do I tell if I should replace all the hoses etc? I'm going to look up how to flush out the heater core too as it isn't the hottest. Should I just get an Amazon $80-$100 radiator? Or are the 3 row $200+ radiators worth it? I live in the UP so summers usually don't go above 90F(I dream of going to Moab etc eventually though). How much do shops usually charge for it?(I'm not too opposed to dropping it off for a day to save a day on the weekend...but only if it's not too much:P)
Edit: Oh yeah and I'm refering to my '99 XJ
