I like the paint. I reached into my YJ's mechanical fan once at idle (ONCE!) cause I was used to the fan being off to the side in XJs. I couldn't feel any of my fingers for almost four hours
did YJ came with fan shrouds from factory? I have always wondered about that

Why hasn't oil dropped in price the same way gas and true crude prices have? T6 is still $25+ a gallon! I know they're not all directly connected in price but cmon, poppa wants some $12 T6 to stock up on.

I have 2 questions:
one I have a red fluid leak from a small "mini" radiator that is ziptied in front of the regular radiator this would be a power steering cooler right? It has what looks like a small hard line and the 6" of a softer rubber hose clamped to that on one end and then hose clamped to the barb on the radiator. Is that the stock setup or does it sound gerry rigged? I think the hose clamp is wearing through the hose there and/or is loose.
Also what would cause the abs motor to turn on and stay on even with the key removed? The PO had the fuse out but it worked fine when I put the fuse back in until yesterday. Now it's stuck on regardless of the fuse...I replaced a caliper and bled the brakes a few hundred miles ago, could air have gotten in it? I just unhooked the connector for it so it won't drain the battery.

That would be your trans cooler. U best have it fixed immediately or as soon as possible. U wouldn't want the transmission to run out of fluid and be stranded somewhere.

Processing, additives, and no competition to bring price down. They're all making plenty of money as it is.

The "mini-radiator" only ~12"x10" and it's on the drivers side higher up right where the plastic grill can be removed for easy access. I moved and tightened up the clamp, will check the tranny fluid tonight. The fluid was a really dark(thought I hit an animal at first) blood red color.
Edit:
Also bump for this Q:
Is a black strip common on the bottom of the oil dip stick? Or does it mean the oil got really burnt at some point?

I'm hoping y'all can help! After my old beater died with a blown head gasket on 95S, in October I got an '88 Cherokee Chief cheap due to the reputation that the 4.0L inline 6 and old cherokees never die. I knew she needed some TLC when I got her but I was broke, the price was right, and she was running good when I got her. First thing I did (with help from my neighbor who is a mechanic) was replace the real main seal and oil pan due to a tremendous oil leak. He also worked on the cooling system for me as she was running hot. Once we got those done that's where the real problems started.
She at first began to stall randomly while driving at speed and consistently while slowing down for stops. Also after stalling she would take a while to start back up. In the course of addressing this problem I did general tune up stuff, plugs and wires and air filter. My buddy said the CPS was a common problem that could cause this so I had him replace it. No help.
Next we (mainly he) replaced the distributor and reset the timing. Thats when my current problem began. The stalling is gone but now at the top (high end) of every gear she stutters, sputters, shakes, and loses power. This is "okay" for driving in my city since I never have to go to 5th gear but if I do get on the highway the problems start at around 45/50 mph and makes it nearly undriveable. My neighbor seems to think that the old "rat brained" computer just hasn't "learned" the new distributor and that it will work itself out. I just think he's out of ideas.
Any suggestions? I'm in grad school and am broke so trying to do as much as I can myself or with my neighbor on the cheap. She's my daily driver and 3 times a week I have to commute 40 miles which I'm now doing on the backroads since I can't take her on the highway.
Please help
