No problem!

 

I ran into this issue before, there are two ways around it.
1) Sign a waiver, releasing tire shop from liability.
2) Remove wheels from jeep.

 

We can thank the insurance industry for this stuff.


I currently have a tire store and have been faced with liable suits several times. It is not the owner of the vehicle that brings suit, it is usually their insurance company for stupid justifications of all kinds. Another issue is the shop's liability insurance contract, mine actually has legal disclaimers stating that they will not cover actions like this so it turns into a direct suit against my personal assets. This is why every shop would be wise to also carry a bond as a second form of insurance as I do.


#2 of Steve's options is the easiest for shops like me. The legalities boil down to who physically bolts the Tire Rim assembly onto the vehicle. I am not liable for what I don't know about or physically do in person or on the business property.


Steve is right, you will have better luck getting someone to mount them off the vehicle. Just remind them that they are not liable for what you do at home and tell them you don't need a receipt.

These regional issues suck. Round the tri-state area, they throwing 35s on cars that didn't come with em stock. I just got 235/85/16 on my jeep in jersey. The guy didn't say nothing. Although its true its always at the shops discretion

 

I had slightly larger tires put on my DD at a local place and there was a disclaimer checkbox on the invoice

 

Times like this I love living in the country. No one cares about tire size here..

 

So my coolant hasn't been changed in 4 or 5 years. It's green and clear, no leaks, no overheating issues, thermostat is fine, no problems at all.. Is there any reason for me to flush and refill?

2000 ltd. When I step on the brakes there's a squeaky noise like something shifting. I can't duplicate the symptoms by bouncing by hand, but it does creak if the suspension flexes enough when I drive (which I'd expect). A quick peek underneath doesn't show any obvious scraping between parts. Could this be bushings? If so, how do I check them? And should I replace just one or all?

I'd start by looking at the sway bar links, but it could be almost anything in the front end

 

Not sure if this is right way to post; had on "all exhaust thread" but that is very tech. This isn't a reply to the above and not trying to highjack. If I'm off protocol please advise.

To the question:
Recently bought a 94 Jeep GCL ZJ 4.0L I6 w/90k.

Working out small things.

Had some thumping at rear (slow, rough road), re-hung exhaust a little better, looking into hatch bumpers (but that's another story).

Noticed front exhaust hanger is similar to rear - bent rod welded in front of cat to pipe and bolted to an offset rubber hanger.

Short of welding or changing major components (no leaks) is there a standard existing hanger that would bolt around pipe and bolt into the hanger (to the side of pipe). I can picture one (as on engineer) but haven't seen one out there yet.
