Welcome to the forum! I absolutely hate metric tire sizes so I've chosen to learn nothing about them, therefor I have no factual answer for you. However this question has been answered on the forum hundreds of times so I would suggest trying to do a search.

That's an excellent kit! You'll love it.

As for tires, I also don't know metric sizes, but you can comfortably run 31x10.5 tires on a 3" lift. If you trim your fenders and get aftermarket wheels with less backspacing, you can throw 33x12.5" rubbers under there.

A quick Google search for "metric tire size conversion" should give you what you need. I used to use one on a Miata site, but there are thousands of them out there.

Here's a thing about metric tires. Every tire is different with its overall size. I am running 235 /85/16 General Grabber AT2s. Those are in reality 31.5" tall by 9" wide iirc. Other tires can be 31.2" tall. Get my drift. As for 265/75/16 believe that's 32X 10" wide. 1010 tires has an awesome converter that I used when I picked my tires out

 

Way to figure out the metric sizes.

Let's start with 235/75/15.
"235" is the millimeters of the width the tire is.
"75" is the aspect ratio (the percent of the width)
"15" obviously is the rim diameter.

To get the height, you would have to figure out the percentage of the width in millimeters, so 235mm* .75 = 176.25. That's wide the sidewall is

Next thing u gotta do is to multiply that by two

176.25*2 = 352.5 millimeters

Now at this point u gotta convert it to inches...

352.5/25.4 = 13.87 inches.

With that, you now can add the rim diameter.

13.87" + 15" = 28.87 inches. Let's round it up to 29"

To convert the tire width to inches

235/ 25.4 = 9.25 inches wide

So a 235/75/15 tire is actually 29" x 9.25" tire.

It is not that hard to do if u don't have a calculator handy.

 

Thanks. I was so busy responding to other threads, I was gonna come back in and post something similar. More simpler of course lol but you just about summed it all up. And for reference I believe 285/ 75/16 (iirc) is 33 X 11. The only reason I didn't do 33s when I upgraded was because I didn't want an 11" wide tire in the snow belt.

 

My jeep is practically rust free. I'm tubbing out my rear at the moment and found only a spec of rust in the rocker due to mud being held up for years. The front doesn't have a lick of rust, only issue is I waited to put in a new steering box spacer and my frame has been weakened

No I have not but I've also heard that it can also just use the other side of the frame as another anchor for the frame to split apart at the box. I was thinking of just plating the frame in a U form all the way from my front bumper tie in to behind the motor mount. I already have mid and front stiffeners.

Hello I picked up a 97 Cherokee today and I noticed the water pump was yellow...then while I was under it I noticed the oil pan was also yellow...I have a 98 and it is not yellow and my 92 was not either...why is my engine yellow? it has 139k and is clean and I was lead to believe all original...anyone have any info on this? thanks

That's either the cleanest Bright Jade colored Cherokee left in the country, or it's been repainted. Or, third option, deceptively good camera lighting
