Was the coil replaced? That matches the symptoms of a failing coil. It would be odd to have it fail after the other components were swapped though, so maybe something else. Maybe too much dielectric compound on the coil wire or something like that?

Coil wasn't replaced. I did call a shop nearby that works on old cars and they said that was one of the things they would do before really attempting to diagnose the problem. i.e. you need to tune up everything first and then go from there.

My steering wheel is way off - PO ...
can I just loosen up the steering wheel-column and the bolt at the steering box ??? plz

OR ... do I have to actually Take Off the Steering box just to turn the wheel straight?

PS , No I can NOT adjust the steering linkage - I just, finally, got it to track straight - with equal turns left and right! (nice) but the steering wheel is now 3/4 upside-down.

I tried to unbolt the steering shaft from the steering gear box but there isn't enough room to pull it off the spindle.

Help

If your pitman arm is straight back and your steering has equal turns each way, take off the wheel and put it back on straight

No, no ...

I hoped I'd covered that, but no that won't really fix it.

It would make the wheel LOOK straight, but the blinker controls and stuff won't work right. ...and my blinker won't stay on going straight.

--> I'm not just concerned with the looks of the steering wheel, but the position of the inner column

I need to move the steering shaft so the electrical switches in the column work correctly. Please?

...but Thank you for the reply

Check U joints for play and grease the slip yoke. Aside from popping the brake drums off for a look, of course

Any brand name recommendation other than Bosch for the fuel pump? Just seeing if anyone else had good luck with other brands.

I got six EV6 injectors from the junk yard. Is it safe to install them without rebuilding them? I really don't want to go thru the hassle. Or am I better off buying new ones on eBay?

Take the time to rebuild them or look on the for sale section on the forum, I bought mine off a guy here and they are great, look pretty much brand new and for 65 shipped you can't complain

I don't feel too comfortable rebuilding since I've never done it. I'll shop around for a few days and see some prices. Do you know the users name that sells them?

Which injectors? EV6 is an entire generation. WHat's the model...?

Yeah a few guys sell them here for cheap. There are also writeups on how to refurb them.
