What's the best and cheapest way to fix it? I don't feel like spending $150 for one actuator

Do they even "try" to move? Wiggle a bit? If not, I doubt it's an actuator problem.

You can buy a complete set of aftermarket ones for less than 100

If they are burned out from trying to push and pull seized rods they won't move at all

I took it apart and plugged it in and flipped the switch both ways. It mad noise but the gear that I could see wasn't moving. So I'm thinking that the gears on the inside are stripped

I would assume that I need an actuator with 3 wires correct? One ground, one locked, one unlocked

Recently installed a JCR Transfer case skid plate. The skid wraps under the cherokee and each end of the skid is bolted into the unibody via nutserts. What do you guys think about drilling 3 holes in the floorboard per side so I could loop a nut into the unibody framerail. Once its tight I could simply place a drain plug where I drilled the floorboard holes. Trying to beef up the skid plate mounting.
