I used roll on herculiner. It's flaked up overtime. Now I just spray the bare spots with black tractor implement paint.

okay so everything was fine with my jeep until this morning, I was driving out of my drive way when the check engine light came on. It was not that big of a deal until i realized it wouldn't shift into overdrive. Drove to work going 60 in 3rd runnin 2500 rpm, but i need help, what could cause this problem and how can i fix it!?

Yeah i'm definitely going to take it easy on the way home. but I don't think its the nss because it was working just fine yesterday and it still reads in all the gears but overdrive, and it went on when I got to the end of my drive way, but just another thing to check!

Well earlier last month I had an nss problem and when I came back from Germany it fixed itself, it wouldn't start in park and id have to shift it into neutral and now od wont work so i hope that's it and i can just clean it or rebuild my nss. I just hope its not a 4th Blowout.

Thats funny, I always try to keep my speed/gear so I rev closest to 2500 (2300-2700) and I get best fuel mileage and less oil consumption. I have kept it there for nearly 4 hours straight many times over to notice a significent difference. If I pass 2700 it starts sucking gas more

The 4.0 likes higher RPMs.

That's why I tow in 3rd. If I tow in OD in the hills the transmission will overheat.
