Ok, before i do this im going to ask. My new cat is direct fit, but the outlet is smaller than the inlet to my muffler. It goes from 2.25 to 2.5. I cant get the right reducer to fit the two without ordering it. Can i just fill the hole with weld? The cat goes into the muffler about 2 inches so idk if it would hurt anything by doing it like that. If itll hurt, ill suffer with the bad mpg and order the reducer.

What would you guys say is the least powerful welder you'd need for 3/16 steel. Would a Eastwood 175 or Hobart 140 suffice? Really not trying to spend more then $300-400
