XJ Ask the Question Thread
So I did my oil change back on March 5th and while cleaning out my jeep I decided to just check fluids and everything. Well my oil dipstick was well under the add level. Not sure where it went or what could be the cause. I put the entire 5 quarts of oil in when I did the change. Plus when I start it no matter cold start or coming out of store after driving it start there's a faint smell of what seems to me to be burnt oil. Any ideas or suggestions?
once it's clean enough
you're leak should make itself known
...mine was the valve cover

Total capacity, not sure. I like to measure what comes out when I drain it.

Towing capacity of a 99 XJ 4.0?
I'm looking at some pop ups. I'm thinking shorter length and light as I can find because I'll probably load it down for camping plus loading up the cargo area.

Yes 4.0. This thing is well over due for a tune up anyway inspection due this month so I will be going to auto store to get valve cover gasket sounds about right since when I did the water pump I over heated the Damn thing and valve cover was basically sizzling. Thanks for the help.
