If I move them forward won't that increase the angle the pinion is already pointing down

 

Whats the best plugs and wires for a 99 grand cherokee 4.0 (its in a 98 xj but I do know theres a difference between the 2 motors)?

 

Not sure what youre saying, but champion copper plugs are the best and i like bosch wires.

 

I swapped motors in my 98 xj. The motor that we put in was from a 99 grand. I didnt think there was a difference until we had to change some sensors and oil pan gasket.. not the same.

I need to get a mechanical fan back on my 91, one of the studs pulled out like a bolt, with the nut seized to it.

I haven't tried but I don't thing there's enough room to get it in there as is.

If I put it in with a dab of thread locker and let it sit awhile, do you think that'd be enough to hold it so I can break it free?

If not, do they sell new studs for it at autozone or other parts chains?

 

Maybe you can get some all thread and just cut it to size

 

I'd rather not. I know its two different size threads, coarse and fine? On either side. I got a parts jeep I could pull one off, but I'd rather just buy a new stud. I looked online at parts stores, nothing. Bbut that might be my wording...

I deliver mail. I have a right hand drive Jeep Cherokee Sport. It does good as long as I'm driving. But I have to stop a lot (at about 150 boxes a day). Anyway, it was doing fine until a couple days ago (seems to be an intermittent problem - I've had the problem before but it seems to work itself out). And it started out ok today but shortly after I started delivering, it started having problems and kept it up all day. I stop at a box, begin to take off and no power, it kind of revs and starts off really sluggish and it will eventually get up to speed but still kind of feels like it is bogged down. Doing it that way, it would take me all day to deliver my route. So, at every stop, I shift to 1st...it takes right off in 1st gear and then once it gets going, I shift up to drive (very tedious doing this at every mail box) but like I said, even doing it this way, it still feels kind of bogged down in drive. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate your input. I checked the transmission fluid, it is at the "add" mark, so I will add fluid and see if that helps any. I read another blog where they suggested checking the inline fuse to the TCU unit (?)

When I turn off the jeep, my lights stay on and I got a little smoke coming from under the windshield washing fluid area. Also a smell that I could compare to burning brakes.

I removed the breaker for the lights in the meantime, but I would like to fix this. I heard maybe that could be the daylight running light module? could it be something else, and where should I look for that.

Shift solenoid.. $180+ from AZ... go the junk yard and you might get lucky like I did and get them for $10 cause the guy labeled them as a bare fuel injector.

 

My jeep started missing and backfiring Wednesday after work out of the blue. I've got 49 psi of fuel pressure at idle. I replaced the spark plugs and cam position sensor, neither ha any effect on the problem. The jeep is throwing a code for cylinder 2 misfire. I checked the fuel injectors with a meter, and I'm getting 12.8 ohms across the board. I don't know what else to check, anybody got any ideas?

 

thanx for responding people. Midway tech- did this same thing happen to you? I will try the junkyard. Thank you. I call my jeep the mystery mobile because it has given me LOTS of trouble over 6 years but anytime anything is wrong, its always a xxxxxing mystery!

 

did you try swapping the plug wire with another? I have had wires go bad out of the blue and never thought to check that until a scan told me 'misfire #4' and I swapped the wire with one old one I saved and that was my problem all along.
