First check the bulb. Easiest and cheapest

do you have ABS? MIL must be burned out.

4x4 light is likely a sensor issue - it's a switch on top of the transfer case.

Default Non-disconnect axle

Somebody tell me what a non-disconnect axle is..... Ive searched this forum mainly for how-to's and have run across this term quite a few times. Now Im toying with the idea of swapping out my LP D30 for a HP D30 or cut and reweld the Cs for better caster and pinion angles and once again have run across this term....basically, what is it?

Renix XJs and MJs had a vacuum disconnect system to actuate 4WD. A non-disco axle (in our case here on CF) is a '91+ D30.

Does anyone have an answer?
Should I bother to trade back the unused can of engine degreaser for the more versatile can of Brakleen?
I will be going to the store anyway.

I have Brakleen for working on stuff, and Simple Green for cleaning my work area and cleaning the motor. That's just me.

Aight any East Bay Cali people on here know anything about whether i can bring my XJ(once i fix it in about a week when the rings arrive.) to the Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area? Do i need any permits. Only OHV vehicles i have brought there have been the dirtbikes and a quad or two. and i know those require special tags. I just dont to drive an hour only to be turned away at the gate... I know 4x4s are restricted to the valley floors. And most of the time mufflers are required. ANything else i should know about?

Default engine rebuild?

2000 cherokee sport, aw4, I-6 4.0L, miles unknown

I have a cherokee that has alot of oil and carbon build up in the number 3 cylinder. I was wondering if some one could give me a ball park figure for rebuilding my engine at a shop. I would assume the cylinders need some honing but I have no idea for sure.
