not sure if the wiring is there, but the pin should be there on the ECM. and all you would need to do is ground out that pin for the high idle IIRC.

Why do you flush hoses? Seems easier to just replace. But, you remove 2 hoses. One is firewall<--->thermostat. The other is firewall<--->water pump. You pour flush into the disconnected hoses?? It will just pour out of the other end of this disconnected hose. Why not use a pipe cleaner instead?

I did not want to start a new thread just for this but I wanted to get opinions on wheel spacers for stock wheels. Here is what I am looking at:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/290647284636...84.m1423.l2649
I have sort of a dilemma. I like the wheels I have on my Jeep but they need to come out farther because I plan on putting 33's on at some point. I just bought two brand new 31's for the rear and the fronts are at the point of needing replaced. I was going to get two new tires for the front but if I do that then I am stuck with the 31's until they wear out.
I really want 33's like now....but it is cheaper right now to just get two new 31's and the wheel spacers (to give it a wider/agressive stance look and clear the 33's later).
Any opinions on wheel spacers and 33" tires as far as the stress put on the spacers/studs and ball joints? Or should I sell the stock wheels and buy new rims with the wanted backspace and new tires?

Link to the spacers no bueno from my phone. If you're going up to 33s you will probably need to change your wheels. Most 33s are 12.5" wide, stock rims are 7" wide. Easy to pop a bead running like that. There ARE such tires as 33x10.5x15 but I've only seen them on here once
i plan on running my 33x12.5s on my 15x7 turbines at some point. Just results in a taller, skinnier profile
i was wondering if sime one could help me. i have a 1990 jeep cherokee the other day it didnt want to start it would turn over but no ignition. i took it to a shop and the tech removed the cap and put it back and it started. so i ran it for a while ans it started stalling out and it turned off. after that it wont start anymore. ive replaced the cap and rotor and it still wont star. what could be the problem?

Didn't realize that the Canyons were 8" wide, interesting.
dukie, are you including people airing down? With so much pressure on the sidewalls already from having to be squeezed like that I was under the impression that you'd need to keep air pressure up to keep them tires on. I've met a guy who ran 33" BFG M/Ts on the early 90s 5-spoke aluminum ones ("Jeep" etched along one of them) and he admitted it was unsafe but he was a mall crawler anyway lol
As far as spacers go, they'll put the center of gravity of the tire out as far as rims with correct backspacing. In theory they're the same, but of course now you have spacers to worry about as well.
