As far as spacers go, they'll put the center of gravity of the tire out as far as rims with correct backspacing. In theory they're the same, but of course now you have spacers to worry about as well.
Yep, the Canyon rims are 8" wide, unfortunately they have a 5.5" backspace. I just wondered if anyone had heard any horror stories about people losing their wheels going down the road due to using spacers.

Spacer failure sure, haven't heard of any effects to the actual hub though.

A small amount of water drips from my overhead console onto the area around the e-brake after sitting in heavy rain.
Is this coming from the windshield, and what's a simple way to fix it??

Hi guys, first post here. I couldn't find an answer to a question I have about the brake pedal. Is there any way to adjust the location the brake pedal sits at? I'm looking at buying a '98 XJ and it bugs me that there is so much distance between how far the break pedal sticks out opposed to how far the gas pedal sticks out.

Thanks for the info!

You could always cut the pedal arm and then notch it to.sit.where you want it to and then weld it back?

That sounds really dangerous being that pedal is life or death..
And if you modify the pedal arm than it will effect the stroke of the petal and can limit how much you can brake

The difference is to prevent you from accidentally pressing the wrong pedal or both pedals at once. It's a safety measure.

It does make heel-toe next to impossible, unfortunately

Its probably the wires, either driver or passenger , they get sheared and rubbed together and fail, my 99 is having the same issues. Basically you have to get in there and see what's broken and fix it. I just haven't got into doing it yet.

Take a flat head screw driver and pry under "B." When putting it back on use pliers and squeeze "A" and "C" together.
