Hey,
My Jeep will start with hesitation and stall as soon as I let off the gas, it's a 99 4.0L so it's fuel injected, and it has a non serviceable fuel filter in the gas tank, do you think it's something to do with the computer or a temperature sensor? Any ideas would be welcomed, I don't know anymore. Plugs, wires, distributor, are all working just fine. Doesn't matter if it's cold or not, just sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn't

Well for the last couple days my Jeep has been doing this weird thing with the power locks. Ill hit the lock button...to unlock our lock...and all I get is a clicking noise from the passenger side front door. Eventually it'll start working again.

Fuses? Or is it the power lock motor?

It is up inside that narrow channel bracket and you can't get it from above.
You have to mount the brackets first to the bumper and then mount the whole to the body.

The TC goes with the tranny. Grands and wranglers won't work. You need to find a ckee with the AW4 tranny.

So it just acts up at idle? no power loss at cruise speed or other sympthoms? When the engine is warm does it still stall at idle?

That's something i've been fighting on for the past 5 years. The relays under the kick panel passenger side are the ones that click. I think the problem is in the connectors of the motors that are oxidated.

Check the fuses but 90% it's the light switch.

Shims are angled spacers that you put between the leaf pack and the axle to point the pinion axis more towards the transfer case.

As long as all cylinders are above 100 psi and none are 10-15 psi less than the highest.

Mine were all 110 - 120 and it runs great and burns no oil at 320,000 km.

Pretty much it just stalls at idle, or if the rpm's are falling it'll just fall to zero if I rev it at all. There is very specific times when at cruise speed I will hit an acceleration wall, like at just over 3,000 rpm in fourth gear it'll hesitate. I haven't made a positive correlation to temperature, once was when I washed it, I got back in and it wouldn't start (or stall when it needed to idle if I gave it gas and the rpms came back down). And another time in the morning (not that cold, maybe 10 degrees Celsius), it wouldn't start without giving it gas, and when it did start and rev it would stall again. Etc. But, there are some definite hesitation points at cruising speed. The only other symptom of course is that it won't start without tapping on the gas if it's in one of it's moods. All other days it starts just fine though, and idle's fine. On bad days when I get it to stay running the idle will fluctuate between around 3 or 4 hundred rpm to 1,500 rpm. and when I give it a little rev it'll fall low and bounce back up. Does that help? Thanks for helping, I couldn't drive my jeep to Uni today because it wouldn't freaking stay started, first day of class aint going so well ha ha thanks for any suggestions, I'll try them all!!!
