My A/C cuts out on hard acceleration. It stills blows but does not make cold air any more. I have checked all vacuum hoses and replaced the compressor for another issue. It still cuts out. If i turn it off and wait/drive for another 30 minutes it will work just fine again. Is there a relay or something else that could be causing this?
Anyone have any ideas on this?

hi
First of all thanks for the thread it really helpful.
Well I have problem in my jeep Cherokee which is the code : P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input , so my mechanic told me to change Intake Air Temp Sensor.
I change 3 time all and I even tried new sensor from the dealer it will run ok (after I clear the code) but when the car temperature go high in traffic or if its parked in the sun with the ac on for long time the check engine light will come on again.
Any one have any idea ? I searched in the forum I only got some ideas of changing the IAT , but what is the IAT is fine what could be the problem.
My Cherokee is 2001 Auto 4.0 and I have edge Trailjammer kit installed and hypertech power programming.
The car was running fine for almost a 4 or 5 months but once a day my car battery went bad and the car would not start so when I changed the battery the problem started to appear.

Thanks

The edje trail jammer works by changing the +5volt input to the map sensor so you have more fuel injected to the engine. This happens to be the same +5volt supply to the temperature sensor that your computer is reading as faulty. Do you have an electric diagram of the trail jammer kit? That might help to fix the problem, probably by adding a diode to the wire that goes to the temp sensor.

Are there any a/c line or hose leaks that are common to XJ's???? I put freon in mine the other day and it blew cool. Then a few days later I hear this air escaping noise, but couldn't determine where it was coming from.
Thanks in advance

I was wondering if you could help me with a question. I was looking at this 1995 Cherokee and the only real problem is that the A/C is not working. Seller says that the a/c unit is intact but just doesn't work. I have no idea about this issue but I do want a/c as I live in Hawaii. Anyways, how much do you think it would cost to fix the a/c and what should I pay for the vehicle? Thanks in advance!

Mine leaks at the end of the compreser at the gasket in the front, and makes a very loud SQUEEW under 2000rpms.

Great site and finally joined this forum. I have an 89 xj with a 6.5 in lift I just completed. Everything went together real well. I purchased the lift parts from Rusty's as I could afford them. So it"s taken me about 6 mos to get to this point. All that I had left to do was hook up my front driveline and found that the stock DL was about two inches too short now. Being on a tight budget, I can't really afford to have the DL custom made. So my question is, do you know of any drivelines from any other vehicle that would fit. We plan on driving the rig to the we-rock nationals from eastern Washington in a few weeks, so time is of the essence to get this figured out. Thanks for your help!

I've not done it yet, but they have replacement seals for the leak, the squeel is the serpentine belt. Either needs replaced or tightened.... Unless the compressor is siezed, which can happen easily if the refigerant (and oil) has all leaked out. I'm gearing up to fix two with that issue, one so seized it almost stalls the engine when it tries to kick in, and may have to be replaced.
