Regarding the dana 60, no problem.

It is very easy.
Axles and gear box: hypoy 80w 90 whatever brand
t case:ATF whatever kind
if you have a limited slip diff in the rear, add additive to the oil.*

Actually all the other years are fine. Look for '73-'86 f100s, some of them came with the high pinion dana 44s, probably the best choice.

hi

First of all thanks for the thread it really helpful.

Well I have problem in my jeep Cherokee which is the code : P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input , so my mechanic told me to change Intake Air Temp Sensor.

I change 3 time all and I even tried new sensor from the dealer it will run ok (after I clear the code) but when the car temperature go high in traffic or if its parked in the sun with the ac on for long time the check engine light will come on again.

Any one have any idea ? I searched in the forum I only got some ideas of changing the IAT , but what is the IAT is fine what could be the problem.

My Cherokee is 2001 Auto 4.0 and I have edge Trailjammer kit installed and hypertech power programming.

The car was running fine for almost a 4 or 5 months but once a day my car battery went bad and the car would not start so when I changed the battery the problem started to appear.

Thanks

Default problem with my water outlet its leaking and i dont know how to stop it

Hi i have a 96 cherokee sport and over the weekend i replaced the raditor and the thermostat in my jeep the raditor went smooth but my thermostat is giving me problems i replaced it and when i did i put the thermostat in first then the gasket in and bolted the water outlet back on so then i stated puting fluid back in and when i did the water outlet started leaking out of the bottom bolt so i took it back off and put the gasket on first then the thermostat on second and that slowed the leak down to a drip then when i turned my car on it just started leaking faster so i then went to autozone to buy a new gasket and some sealent and that was yeaterday and that seem to do the trick i started it up and it didnt leak well i drove to work this morning and when i parked i saw that it was leaking again so i dont know what to do should i just buy a new water outlet could the old one just be warped or something thanks for you time and help

You should give your jeep to me, then you won't have to worry about it....
It would solve a lot of my age related issues I've been having....

Question Oil Leak

Hey there, I recently aquired my late brothers '94 and notice it has an oil leak. I haven't figured out excactly where it's coming from, it seems it's all over the place. Are there any common leak issues? I'm gonna replace the pan gasket soon so maybe I'll have a better idea of where it's coming from when I'm down there. Thanks

Check out this item I found on eBay:

JEEP CHEROKEE 1310 SLIP YOKE CV DRIVESHAFT XJ SYE NP242

First of all, that is not a CV joint but a double cardan. It is certainly better than the stock DS, but it doesn't solve the problem of the slip yoke from sliding out of the TC when lifted and twisted. I suggest you tap (without hack) the yoke to the TC output shaft and get a front DS from the JY and custom cut it to fit in the back. Cheaper.

What is the part and where can I find it?
Could you post a pic of this part because i really don't know what you're talking about. I'm quite sure though, it is a only dealer part.

You got one hell of an overheat, that is a melted wire cap.

I have a 2" Budget Boost consisting of 2" coil spacer and 2" shackle. Found a good deal on 3" coil springs and 3" full leaf packs. What do I need to put it together to make a 5" lift? I was thinking maybe a TC drop.

I doubt it will reach 5 inches at the back, try it the same, some people have rigs with 6inch lifts and don't have peroblems with driveline vibes..

So I can just add it to the existing setup and see how it rides? I will need shocks though right?
