Default Adjusting track bar.

My axle is sitting a little over to the passenger side after installing a 2" lift. Plus the first time installed it it wan't tight enough (making creaks). I have it down on the ground but can I spin the track bar completely around with it on the ground? I don't think I can. But if I have to jack it up I will. Just thought it'd save me time just being able to spin it freely without having to jack it up.

I'm not sure if I understand what your saying but I'm gonna take a stab at it. If you already have an adjustable trac bar you can spin the tre end with it on the ground, that's actually how you are supposed to do it so that you can adjust the body over the axle. I use a 4' level, dry erase marker and a tape measure to check mine. The tires need to be on the ground so that you can turn the wheel to center it over the axle. I'm not 100% sure that this is what you're asking but if it is I hope I helped.

Yea it was. But I couldn't even budge the tre off of the housing. It was on there good, and I had only been driving on it for like 2 weeks. Did anybody else have a hard time getting the frame side off of that housing?

Having some issues with the power windows, door locks, and radio, in a 89 Cherokee Limited.

I just recently (2 or 3 days ago) picked up this Cherokee. It's my first Jeep, I've always been more of a Yota guy. Anyways, the power windows, door locks and radio don't work. I ran a new power and ground for the driver switch panel and that worked to make the driver window work and the passenger rear window work. now the switch that should be running the driver rear window, is trying to unlock the doors, and the switch for passenger front window makes all the electrical dim, the power lock button does nothing.

Any Ideas?

I have a question about my 96 XJ 4.0L 203k

This past month once a week my jeep would start normally in the morning but after about 15 minutes of driving it would not start unless I would hold the accelerator to the floor. So this weekend I was in the process of repairing and before I go buying a bunch of parts that may not be needed I am asking the forums.
Symptoms:
Starts without hesitation in the morning.
No loss of power, shifts fine and not overheating.
After a short trip to work if I need to leave shortly (less than 10 minutes) the jeep will not start unless pedal depressed to the floor and even then it sputters(black smoke)and runs like its misfiring. However it will smooth out and run fine.

Tuned up recently plug wires. For what I gathered from other forum posts it sounds like a fuel pump or the TPS. Any ideas?

If I am towing a little 4x8 Uhaul trailer on the interstate, with a trans cooler and trans temp gauge, can I tow in OD so long as the temp doesn't spike?

Edit: I have a '96 4.0 Auto XJ

Wouldn't trust it. Even with the cooler and such, its still strain on the gears themselves. Many will say they did it I problem but I was brought up that any time you tow, depending on vehicle, you either go in 3, disable OD, or push tow/haul
Button

I would only have probably 400lbs of stuff in the trailer though. I have also been taught that, but I thought the tranny cooler and temp gauge could also help? (I, of course, won't do this through mountains or anything. I'm not that stupid!)

You just need a pickle fork and it will come off. Te tre is made bigger so that when you tighten it it gets jammed in there good. To rotate the whole thing you're gonna have to find a way to give yourself some serious room. I'd just go buy or rent a pickle fork (auto zone and orileys both rent them out). If you do that I'd make sure to pick up an extra grease boot cause your gonna tear the one you have to shreds.

Check if an injector is leaking right after shut-off. Needing to floor the accelerator and black smoke = flooded.

For those of you who have lights mounted in the bars of your bumper, hire did you attach then? Clamps or do you just drill a hole and bolt?

Thanks
