I have a 97 sport and a couple days ago the lower radiator hose went (pin hole). I wasn't far from Autozone so I walked to get some tape and some 50/50 antifreeze just to be able to get home- about 2.5 miles. I made it about 2 miles and going up a small hill it started to REALLY knock and lose about 90% power. It stalled out about 2 blocks from my house. I walked home and got my wife's car and went back to Autozone and bought the actual hose to replace it. After changing it I started it up and I heard a little knock but not real bad. I left it running in the driveway to make sure it was ok and after about 10-15 minutes it started knocking really bad again. I shut it off and checked for any leaks around the hose and didn't see any. My check engine light is stuck on now. Today I decided to take it back to autozone to get the code for the CEL but on the way there it stalled on me twice (I stayed put for a few minutes then started it again) and I wasn't even half way there so I turned around and came back home. I have been looking on here and haven't found anything similar to compare. I cannot drive it now so I need some help-PLEASE! Not sure what it could be.

my question is... i have removed the airbox on my 89xj (renix) to install a Rusyt's airtube and K&N cone. however there is a tube running from the front of my airbox to my intake manifold. its about 2 inches diameter and i think its called a warm-up tube what do i do with this after i install the new intake ?any info is greatly appreciated.

Here's a link to a decent thread, and a quote from it about tightening the worm gear.
"The worm gear is a internal part of the steering gear box if you have the same issue remove your drivers side electric fan, there is 2 bolts on the top that hold it in and then it slides out from the top.
once that is removed you will be able to see the 5/8" nut on top and a set screw that has a allen head hole on top.
Insert the allen head on top and then lossen the nut once its loose tighten the allen head screw about 1/4 a turn then recheck.
It is easier to have some one inside moving the wheel back in fourth until the slack is gone then tighten the nut to secure it.
For me it was easy to tell that it was getting better becuase before you can move the steering wheel back and fourth and there front wheels didnt move until you moved it quite a bit now its instant.
When your doing it make sure you do it until the slack is gone if you keep screwing the allen head in after the slack is gone you can get to much tension and caue the wheel to become jerky when turning it happen to me the first time when i turned it to much.
But it saved me $200 so well worth trying it atleast if you have the same issue if the slack ever does come back and i cant remove the slack out of it i will get a durango gear box to upgrade it. "
