I have been having a problem with my 92 Cherokee Sport, when she has been running for about 20 minutes she starts to bog down like she is getting to much fuel, if I turn her off for about 10 minutes then she runs fine for another 20 then it starts all over again. I checked for any fault codes and I received a trouble code 76 = Fuel Pump Resistor Bypass Relay Circuit. Is this something I can do myself or do I need a shop?

I have a 93' XJ 4.0 5speed. Stock. The transmission gets really hot under normal driving conditions and within short amount of time. Does not affect driveability, just curious as to why so much heat pours through center console. Do XJ's stock trans have coolers? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

final diagnosis from the transmission shop is that the tranny is fine, however they say the true problem is in the CHARGING SYSTEM ,and that when transmission trys to shift at a very high rpm the voltage being sent out spikes up to about 20,anyone know what can cause this ...like i said they say the alternators fine ,im taking suggestions

Hey I was wondering if you could educate me on difference of a short arm and long arm kit. Im looking to get a rc 6.5 short arm kit, or should i just get the long arm kit instead. Im new and on a budget so there is a price difference in short and long kit.

My Jeep was stuck in the mud for about 3 months! It drove fine after but one day I was driving and it was driving fine! When I shut it off. It wouldn't turn back on? We check for spark and there was none! So my buddy towed me to his house and when we got there I decided to try it! It started rite up! Drove fine for about another month! When I came back home shut it off and it was running fine! The next day no spark again! I traced it back to the coil and there is nothing! I don't know if theres power going into the coil but deff no spark coming from it! It did have a long boot on the plug so I put a pieces of metal in it and still no spark! SO IDK what to do? I checked the fuse too! Maybe the CPS but it would run for a second right and still would have spark from the coil right?! IDK any idea! I miss her! Stuck in the mud for 3 month and now this! DAMN

I have an 89 Cherokee and the fuse panel is shot. I have found another one but I can't figure out how to get the large connector that is on the outside of the firewall loose to pull it through to the inside of the jeep. Is there a trick to releasing this large connector or am I gonna have to cut all those wires and spend days splicing them?! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

still having issues with Low idle (500 rpm not stable). Cleaned everything in the TB, checked all vacuum line (but that would make a high idle right ?), cleaned CCV system and replaced front hose of CCV. IAC seem to be working after cleaning. and TPS is adjusted properly according to several manuals.
What is left to check ? EGR valve, O2 sensor, CPS, CTS, MAP....
(89 XJ manual)

It's the TPS (throttle position sensor) on the throttle body, you might have damaged the wires or the sensor itself, check the ground, 5volt positive feed and the sensor output 0-5 volt.
