If you are changing your injectors just unhook the throttle control linkages and rotate it up and towards you. It will now allow easy access to the injectors.
The throttle linkages just slip off by hand.

Ok I have a question: I've seen lots of later model XJ's with what appear to be early model front bumpers/bumper caps. Do the bumpers bolt up the same or is there a lot of voodoo in getting them to work?

I have been having a problem with my 92 Cherokee Sport, when she has been running for about 20 minutes she starts to bog down like she is getting to much fuel, if I turn her off for about 10 minutes then she runs fine for another 20 then it starts all over again. I checked for any fault codes and I received a trouble code 76 = Fuel Pump Resistor Bypass Relay Circuit. Is this something I can do myself or do I need a shop?
ok so they say its the alternator...but it wasnt..the problem bieng when i punch the gas like floor it they say its getting to0 high a reading from the wires(ohms, volts whatever) causing it to go into limp mode...
so so far it hasnt been the inut sensor itself the connection or the alternator...any other suggestions?

All cars make this sound. It's just the stuff in the engine bay cooling off. Much like the sounds an oven makes when cooling off after baking. If it makes you feel better, double check your cooling, exhaust, engine mounts, etc.; there might be something worn, but the sound is probably harmless.

final diagnosis from the transmission shop is that the tranny is fine, however they say the true problem is in the CHARGING SYSTEM ,and that when transmission trys to shift at a very high rpm the voltage being sent out spikes up to about 20,anyone know what can cause this ...like i said they say the alternators fine ,im taking suggestions

More to the point, the last one I had go out tought me something about the regluator that might help you. My regulator was going out and the computer was sending 20v to the regulator input, trying to boost output since the alternator was hardly putting anything out and I was running on battery.
I'm wondering if you have a loose wire going to the alternator regulator, or if some wierd thing like the transmission line got shorted to the regulator line or something. I've had all sorts of wierd "can't believe it" wiring issues with my jeeps. Cant' hurt to check, I figure.
