Are the oil filter adapter o-rings the same size on all 4.0 motors?

Zimbobwye,

In my 2000, automatic trans, I really only shift into 4-low when completely stopped, and in neutral. 4-high, I'll shift into at very low speeds, only. Early last winter, I blew the original np231, had Aamco replace it for me.. and that is the advice they gave me. 4-low won't let your trans shift past second gear, and it's really meant for getting the most torque on all four wheels.

Thanks for the info. I did find the answer a bit ago.

I am going wheeling tomorrow morning and didn't to screw things up.

Later,

Stay in 1/2 and when you're in 4low and when going into 4low ALWAYS be rolling(1 or 2 mhp), never at a stop. It SO much harder on her. Trust me try both ways, normally being stopped makes it grined like a ****

Arrow Shackle relocation brackets suggestions

Quick question guys/girls.. Looking for suggestions and opinions.

Shackle relocation brackets. Which one between these two would y'all recommend or think is better?

Liquid Iron Industries one piece brackets for $150?

----------------------OR---------------------------

Rough Country's relocation brackets for $120?

4hi you can do on the fly I do it up to 20mph while cruising never while gasing it. Haven't had an issue. Check all your fluids and don't be surprised if going into 4lo is hard at first depends how much it's been used. Get to a roll shift tranny Into N then shift through to 4 lo then head into drive. 4lo isn't meant to go above around 10-15mph

Transfercase question regarding strength and durability...

What would the order be from strongest to weakest? I'm only referring to stock or factory units.

Plan on buying a spare to do a SYE on so when I do my lift I will have it ready to swap in.

Thanks

Im not a 100% if its just bolt in but if your planning an sye if they offer it for this case then any mods could be done in advance. But this page

http://www.jpmagazine.com/techarticl...s/viewall.html

Gives you some ideas. The 231 can be hd modified for some money with some kits. There is a 4 to 1 low kit and a chain and gear upgrade kit.

My leafs are sagging, as they tend to start doing after twenty years. I want to replace them. DIFFICULTY: I don't want a lift. It's a 2wd and I have no need nor desire to lift my XJ. I've been looking at these Standard Duty replacement leafs over at Quadratec, think those will do the job?

They will. I was in talks with a vendor here on cf. Not only are they back ordered forever, the vendor really sucks at getting back to you. I went elsewhere.
