Hi everyone. I wonder if you guys could help me identify some hacked wires in my engine bay. I haven't been able to find much wiring information for it. The Cherokee is an '89 Pioneer with a 4.0, 5-speed manual, and 4x4.
The hacked wires are located in the harness behind the driver's side headlight and there are two sets, both leaving the harness within an inch of each other. Unfortunately, I don't have a camera right now.
One set is one black wire, and one red wire with a white stripe. The other set is one yellow wire, and one grey wire with a black stripe.
Leaving the harness from very near these sets of wires is an orange and grey rectangle, and I have no clue what that is, either.
I'm pretty sure that one of the sets of wires should be going to the sensor on the electric fan.
I'm sorry, I know this is a lot to take in lol. Thank you for any help you can give, I very much appreciate it.

Hello,
I am new to the thread and overall repair of the steering system in a 99 jeep cherokee. The wheel is loose which would normally feel like tie rods, however this vehicle seems to have only one large bar at an angle toward the front of the steering suspension. In other words, that is the part that appears to be loose after putting it on a lift. Any thoughts as to which part this is, or common issues and fixes of this problem?
Thanks!

Quick ? I bought a 94 2 door with a five speed and Im having the motor pulled and put in my 99 4 door with a auto trans. the 94 is a complete rig with 132,000 I was wondering what else I can save that will work with the 99? axles ,etc. Its a shame to even pull the motor but couldn't find a good 4.0 that doesn't have over 200,000. The mechanic said the motors will swap but I find it hard to believe they are exactly the same.

I usually just turn the ignition to "on" (where the fuel is able to flow), then cross the two large terminals on the starter for a second. If you want a more comfortable option and know you'll have to do it for a long time, get a push button start, put jumper cable clips on the end of the wires, then connect those to the large terminals on the starter when you want to start it and press the button. My Nova has a straight six (the Jeep 4.0's Granddad), and on my starter, I put the negative clip on the terminal closest to the passenger-side fender. A screwdriver is really all you need, but my motor is a pain to start, so I like the comfortable option.

Passenger side of transmission.
The TWO push-connect fitting for the cooler lines.
The FRONT one is leaking.
Are there any special tools to remove the line from the fitting?
What is the out diameter of the cooler line?
What is the thread size of the fitting itself?
Thank you all in advance!
