If you have like 10 minutes and a small piece of sandpaper I would like you to humor me. Directly behind where your gauge cluster is, but on the firewall (engine bay) there is a small bolt with threaded wire attached to it. Loosen it, sand until you see clean metal and retighten. Next go to your battery, coming of the negative terminal wire should be a wire that runs to the left and bolts directly to the body. Follow the same procedure as before. We will start easy and go from there. Please keep us informed as to your results. We love pictures also.
Okay, was going to do a giant post but I figured that the pictures would make it too big for this thread, and I don't really have "after" pictures and there's still stuff to do anyway and I rambled too much etc... Ended up taking me a few hours but I've cleaned terminals and replaced the ground wires. The braid from the block to behind firewall was pretty crappy. Runs a little bit nicer now but rough idle is still there. Going to have to wait 'til spring lol. I plan on saving pics for a future build/cleanup thread but if you'd like to see I guess I could post the "before" shots.

I wouldn't cause I like my XJ, and I don't like those vehicles. It's your call.

So if it is a vac ball issue, do I just replace it?

You can probably find one at your local JY for cheap. Remind me though what was you original issue?

My jeep was running perfectly fine after they charged it at autozone, but now it isn't starting again. It acts as if it has no juice in it at all. All of the lights are off. I tried throwing it in the gears you recomended, but i'm still not getting any power to anything. I'm just going to disconnect my battery right now and let it charge while I do some research (never did one last time as it started right up after I put the battery back in)

There was a hissing noise coming from the front passenger side of the engine compartment

Okay, So I am taking the route of cleaning my NSS, I have all the zip ties and bolts off, but I CAN NOT seem to get the NSS itself off of the shifting shaft. I am following this thread http://bc4x4.com/tech/2010/jeep-neut...ty-switch-nss/ and left the bolt on and partialy threaded so i could use the prying technique he did, but mine wont budge. If i push any harder the nut just unthreads partially and stays at an angle, so I want to try a different approach. Any Ideas? Thanks.

The power lock that licks all of the doors at once does not work either for the back door

So your lights aren't working or anything electric? Check your wires under the battery clamps and te main alternator wire. It sounds like you're saying the battery isn't charging while driving. (doesn't mean right away alt I bad)

Oh yes that's right I remember you. Did you check all the lines and remove the bumper guards and look at the ball.

Did they do a load test? It sounds like you may have a dead cell in your battery. I have gone threw three duralast gold top batterys in my XJ in the last 2 years because of heavy vibrations while offroading. Its not a problem with the duralast batterys mind u. This will happen to any battery under heavy vibration, except Gell packs (ie. optima) of course
