What TC do you have. Put her on a lift and then into 4wd. Have someone slightly steer left and right while you're under her. Is it only to the left. And autozone usually doesn't know much unless you're lucky to find someone good there

I'm helping a fellow jeeper with his GC. He is having a no turning over issue. Turns key engine tries to crank but doesn't. Battery works, fuel is at the rail. He put a new starter battery and alt. he also said when he drives from a red light she tried to stall. Sounds like the Crabkshaft sensor, the stalling but not sure about the no start issue?

TC-transfer case as in np231(4hi and 4lo) or np242(4hi,4full time,4lo). The noise is only in 4wd right. Do you have an xj or GC? I'm on my phone so can't see your profile

I'm curious about the NP242: Is 4Full Time the same ratio as 4HI, or is it different?

Different I believe. Np242 is better for snow and rain than offroad. I know ppl will argue me but the np231 IMO has a better ratio and can be abused more plus full time still has chance or slippage since the front and rear tires spin at different speeds

A lot of fuel issues can come from rebuilding an engine.. especially if the complete fuel system wasn't cleaned at the time. Have you used Seafoam in your fuel before? It can really help clean your system out..

Does anyone have a link to that write-up, about properly using seafoam? I think it'd help.. or if anyone else has better suggestions for a lack of consistent fuel situation?

Try a diff battery. My wifes GC did this and it ended up being the battery had dropped a cell. If its not the battery try the CSP sensor. The semi stall thing is most likely an O2 sensor. I hate my wifes GC i just did all of this recently. Its more of a money pit than my 94 XJ that gets beat to hell on the trails.

The onll plus is that under the hood it
Wasn't too different but I'm gonna check it out tomorrow. Thanks, I'm hoping for him it's just the ignition switch before the CPS and as for the stalling yea I was thinking that or the injectors being dirty. He is not on his GC like most here with their xjs so I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't seafoamed or anything
