Done. Thanks for the help guys! Think I found the source of my leak too. I thought it was the rear main seal, but I think it's the trans pan. After 1 more drain n fill on the trans in a couple weeks I'll replace the filter and gasket.

Naa a clogged heater hose under the dash or a disconnected hose under the dash will do that.

I'm thinking it was a disconnect hose, I messed around u see the hood and later when I was driving everything seemed better. I still have more items to finish since my repairs so my jeep is a lil mad at me lol.

Also question, I'm gonna bedline my steel bumper, should I use 80 grit sandpaper or lighter. Also should I prime before bedlining or does it adhere well to metal? Thanks guys

Quick question...I'll keep it short and simple

When I put my XJ in 4hi (or pretty much whenever the front axle is engaged) it makes a very loud humming/whining noise. What is causing this? How can I fix it? Could it possibly need more diff case fluid?

So what are the best replacement wheel bearings to get. I got the crappy duralast.
Haha that name does not fit the products. Anyways I have now gone thru technically 6 wheel bearings including the ones that came with my jeep 2 years ago. I'm never buying duralast wheel bearings again.

But like I first stated what are the best wheel bearings to get? I know timken makes good ones but are they the beat ones or should I go mopar? Either way I get a discount thru both the companies. Any trial and errors or any answers will be awesome. Thanks in advance!

Is it bare metal? And if so why are you sanding it? But if it's previously painted yes I'd recommend sanding down and cleaning the old paint up. If there is any rust spots make sure to sand down to bare metal and use a self etching primer. Are you using roll on kit or spray?

Yes it's bare metal, I'm sanding to pretty much just rough up the metal a lil and also cause it now has a layer of lime from the rain and snow to come clean. Probably I'm a do a spray on.

Does it take 2+ people to remove/install a hood? I have a good donor xj, but no idea if i can do this myself

It's better to have 2 people but I've heard ppl say they've done it alone. Just call a friend give him a beer and his job is to hold and unscrew one side when you do the other

Get self etching primer then. And spray that on after you sand it. Since your using bedliner you really won't be able to tell the difference between the sand grits just long as you don't heavily grove the bumper the bedliner paint will hide quite a bit.

Cool thanks, I was more curious about the bonding, hence the sanding. The craftsmanship was really good and came smooth

The bedliner will pretty much bond to anything. But I have always put down a layer of primer and it seems to stick a lot better. What bedliner you using?
