I fought that battle for months. Finally gave up and bought a new one.

I thought you wrapped it up for the year? Or is this planning for spring?

I am hopefully done for the year. Came across that brand new for $250. Had no intentions of doing something like that. But sometimes you come across a deal and sometimes things change. For instance my '00. I really had know intentions of doing anything with the exception of a little refresh. Picked it up 3 1/2 years ago running but not really driveable. Then I saw things like overhead consoles, cruise control, etc on the forums. Started finding all these parts cheap on Craigslist. So the plan changed. Came to the conclusion that the Jeep will always be in a constant flux cause of this.

I don't see why these won't work. But what do I know? Like the fact that they are still two piece unlike the Banks which are not. At least not in the picture at there site. Frankly for a stock motor this probably not worth. But I also toy with the idea of getting a motor built from time to time. Not a stroker per se but with a little something something. Info makes for better decision making. Even if I found out for sure that they would work will I still buy them? Who knows. Still what like to here what people think anyway.

The box they are in says '00 to '05. And you would think they would change the part # for factory parts if there was a change. But I know from spending time here that you know your stuff. Which means further investigation would be necessary.

Just to be clear this is pretty much all wishful thinking and daydreaming on my part but you never know.

Hi all, this is my first time posting. I have a 98 cherokee with with a code PO705 for trans range sensor. from what ive read it sounds like the nss is gummed up and could be bad. But i ran all the tests like reverse lights work and it starts in neutral and everything else is fine so not sure what it is. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

is it a pain to replace? I hadn't even thought it was replaceable. do you have to remove the transmission pan?

Anything wrong with these ebay exhaust manifolds?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/292263373928

I know not to buy a turbo kit off ebay, but didn't know if there's a significant difference in quality between the no-namer above, and something like this OMIX one—same design.

http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....315943&jsn=437

My logic is that they can't be as bad as the OE ones that crack…

Default Just rebuild or Stroke

Hi guys,

I have a 2000 xj and a knocking noise coming from the rear end of the engine. Sounds like something contacting the cylinder wall. I know Im going to do an engine swap but im trying to decide on whether to put in a rebuilt engine or a 4.5-4.6 stroker. Ive never done an engine rebuild or swap before and Ive been trying to get a feel for how much it would cost to build these myself, there is just so much information to sort though. No mater which option I go with I would like to have something with stock reliability/longevity or preferably better than. Looking for recomendations and round numbers for how much it will cost if I do the build myself

Have you checked to make sure none of the flex plate bolts are loose. Flex plate knocking is always mistaken for a motor knock from the rear.

Look at this thread.
