If a speaker is "cutting out" or not working at all, you need to trace your wires from beginning (the radio) to end (the speaker). I know it sounds like a lot of work, but well... that's 'cause it is. There's a loose connection somewhere. Up to you to find it.

I'm following you completely. I'll try to make my explanation more clear.

Original symptom: when opening the driver door, all speakers EXCEPT the driver door speaker would cut out. Eventually only the driver door speaker works regardless of door position.

I replaced the wires for the driver door speaker thinking maybe it was grounding out, causing only it to work. This didn't fix the problem.

Im just wondering if there's something else in that door wiring that, if damaged, would cause my symptoms. I'll get the meter out and check voltage at the other speakers tonight. I was just trying to ask before I tear out the entire interior to run new speaker wire.

Ah ok.... wow, that's nuts. I can see why what you're describing would lead you to think that. I don't know of any of the OEM wiring that would do that. Maybe it was something PO did. PM CCKen though, he's the expert on the OBDII Jeeps... he might have a schematic to help you out.

My apologies i was aware it was just for the stinger but forgot to mention that i would be doing the whole thing. Bumper and stinger. But was mainly worried about fitment. Looking for something that lines up with the jeep itself very nicely and doesnt get in the way of any approaches when wheeling.

Ah okay. Well, based on just a quick "skim" of the posted article below, I'd say Wizard has your answers there.

Also, I would not buy them again. The front bumper was okay-ish but the rear was an absolute nightmare.

Do you want a bumper with a winch, or just a strong bumper? If you want clearance the best bet is non winch or a winch bumper the crossmember is modified to fit.

After reading your review of the install and how big of a pain it was and for the crappy welds and already rust spots youve got me thinking twice about this bumper..

For this jeep just a strong and well built bumper. I plan to have this one for about a year from now only or possibly slightly longer. Then im selling it to my step father so he can throw a 4 cylinder diesel in it and throw a 6 or 8 inch lift underneath and just go to town on the trails with this instead of his near perfect condition 97 tj. I am mainly using this jeep as a way of teaching myself the do's and don'ts. Ive already figured out i want a 97-01 cherokee after this one.

For a strong high clearance bumper I like my aresfab evolution bumper. More clearance than factory.XJ Ask the Question Thread-photo403.jpg

That looks awesome. I noticed on the website they have one with winch option. I only like it for the added bars infront of the headlight and grill for added protection but for 350 in their website thats a hell of a deal. Think i just found my new front bumper

You can get them to customize any of their bumpers however you want. I called the guy and he did what I wanted. Got custom tie ins for the rear of my Cherokee.

Own an '00 with a Camel interior with one piece cloth buckets. Always wanted some removable headrest ones and found some. 2 sets actually, leather, in so so condition. Passenger seats are in better shape. I am pretty sure that the backs are interchangeable. Appear to be the same part number. So my plan is to take one of the passenger ones and put it on the driver seat. My question is about the bottom. Now realize that they are different being how one side is leather and the other is carpet/fabric. Other then that are they also interchangeable? The plan is to rehab the seats the best I can and then use seat covers.

Quick question because of varying answers: keep or ditch the fuel ballast resistor on my 91 XJ? It's in the way of hood struts. I can relocate but will ditch if possible.
