Default Question on my '95 and a weird-named part I am unable to locate

happy Friday, XJ owners!

I have a 1995 upcountry XJ- my wife's DD - has just recently had this strangely-named seal split lengthwise from age.
I have some gorilla tape on the dry-rotted strip but it is not working to effectively prevent water and road debris from getting in.

What have you guys done when you replaced or substituted something in the place of what the FSM refers to as the " Door-to-Rocker Panel Seal" strip that from the factory came riveted to the front doors lowest edge to keep water from entering and causing rust to the rocker panels? Here is a screenshot with the part i reference indicated by the red arrow.

I want to replace with new ones ( I have looked and have all the usual resources ; I don't want pull apart or junkyard) and if that is not possible, I wonder what you guys are doin instead of having this strip there?

Much obliged

XJ is shifting a little goofy today. Was cruising around 50mph and i went to pass someone and instead of down shifting the jeep kinda slowed down a bit, almost like an upshift. 2000 automatic 4wd sport. no issue with any other shifts at all and it doesnt seem to be consistent either, but It has happened a few other times today. Just installed a SYE and new brown dogs. could those have anything to do with it?

Thanks in advance!

1999 Cherokee Sport. Leaking yellowish oily liquid from ac/evap drain in engine compartment (right in front of passenger thru firewall). Its dripping directly out of that rubber 90° tube, running down the frame, onto the driveway. Recently charged r134 (blows ice cold), just noticed it oiling up my driveway. Ideas? I'm worried it may be an evap leak as NOTHING is leaking (with that same color) in the engine compartment, but totally confused as to why it would come out of the drain. Compressor looks new (just bought the car). Super novice when it comes to AC systems, so wanted to check with you guys before I drug it back to the shop to diagnose.

Thanks in advance.

Didn't have any problems, but this got me thinking...

Is there an effective way to relocate the alternator north without giving up A/C?

Maybe swap the ac and alternator via a custom bracket? Only way I can think to do it. No room to put the alt on top of the ac compressor.

Default Crazy electrical problems

1993 xj 4.0 I am having problems with my dash light ,running lights, blinkers and brake lights not working.I have checked the fuses one of which originally blew #15 which i replaced. All fuses seem okay.I have checked and changed bulbs on tail lights and got running lights working but no brake lights.I have checked the relays they are okay.I also removed my trailer wires.Do you have any suggestions of what I can do next?

regearing in an apartment garage. can i regear the rear axle to 4.56 and have the front at 3.73 if i remove the front drive shaft? this is just a temp thing to flip the jeep so i can then pull the front axle.
