What trick is this? I've never heard of such a thing. What are you testing?

You won't get smoke. Just very small pieces of carbon.

the smoke that folks get by pouring things in the intake is from combustible stuff like seafoam and the like. The smoke is NOT indicative of deposits being removed, but the stuff you're pouring in burning up.

Hey guys, I am really struggling here. I am trying to upgrade my front door speakers. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to unhook the inside door handle rods. I saw that there are two clips you slide off...well mine seems to be different, I have power locks and windows. I have already broken one of the bottom clips, I'm gonna quit before I make a real mess. Too dark now for photos. Oh, 1994 xj country. Thanks guys.
Oh, 1 more thing...how do you get the arm rest off? I got the two screws out in the bottom, but the handle/top part, looks like it is connected from the inside...I don't know.

Question 4.5 inch and swapping rear diff.

Recent bought a new to me 1998 4 door cherokee. I am going to be putting my old 4.5 inch BDS lift from my ex 2 door 1998 cherokee..
Question is, my new jeep seems to not have limited slip. My understanding is that the abs models had less than ideal drive train (which my new jeep has) Imy planning on putting in my old Chrysler 8.25 rear end in place of my current D35. Any issues I will run into? Will I need a longer drive shaft/slip yoke eliminator? Will front driveline be ok? Sorry for any bad or wrong spelling. .. I am a newbie.

I usually just leave the door for clips on. The little box that the door handle and rod is connected to is surrounded by a peice of trim than contains the window switches. It all seems like one peice, but it's not. Push the door handle box outward away from the door and the trim around it will seperate, it's just snaps together. Then I just work the trim around the door handle box and it allows for the door panel to just slide over it. Only thing I'm unsure of is that I have manual Windows so it you may have to unplug your window switches first. As for the door handle, once you remove the two screws on the bottom, swivel the entire handle till its pointing up in the air and it should pull off. XJ Ask the Question Thread-image-2287056460.jpg Once rotated up, it can be pulled outward and removed. Not a question, but FYI. If anyone is looking for parts specific to an 84 (IIRC) has a 2.8 V-6.
Freemans Auto Salvage Davison , Mich.

Yes that's right, a V-6

Default Trans or torque converter?

Hello everyone, I've never posted on a forum before and just created my account, before you tell me to search I already have and can't find anything exactly like my problem, this is my third Cherokee and I can typically fix everything or find the issue myself but I'm stumped, I have a 93 2dr XJ with the 4.0 HO, AW4 trans and 243k miles, the problem I'm having is a "bucking" so to speak when going uphill, I only have this issue in overdrive (55mph and above) when I'm going uphill it "jerks and bucks" and when I peak the hill it'll do it a couple more times then stop, it feels like it's coming from underneath the jeep where the trans is, I don't believe it's an engine issue because my RPMs don't drop or rise, hopefully someone can help me and I don't have to drop the trans

So I went for it and poured about 4oz of water into a hot engine. I also removed and cleaned and gapped all my spark plugs. Number one was covered in oil and number 2 also had some. Going to change the valve cover gasket as its leaking for sure after that and a good engine cleaning I'll see how she runs. Might do the plugs and wires again.
