Slowly dribble the water while the engine is revving at approximately 2k rpms. If it start to bog down, wait until it picks up again then continue dribbling.
Ha! I wish it were.Truth be told, I've done a bunch of stuff to it (axle u joints, hub assembly, brakes) to get it road worthy, but I have paid any mind to the rear suspension, so I have no idea if they're cut. Whatever it is, I have a sneaking suspicion it might be ghetto-tastic. I'll look tomorrow and snap some pics. Get ready for rust heaven.

alright, I moved it up about 6 inches today so it mounts above the taillight instead of beside it. The best SWR I can get after tuning is a 2 at channel 1 and 40 and at channel 20, it's 1. Is 2 ok or is that too high?

2:1 is approaching the higher end of safe. Efficiency is lower than 1:1, but it shouldn't harm the equipment. With the Highway channel being 19 across most of the country, 1:1 in the middle range is pretty good.

I ended up buying one today from a local truck stop along 85. Now I can use it without breaking it. But just curious, what kind of problem would you expect from a CB that was used without being tuned? Also, I'm starting to think I mounted it too low. How badly would this effect the transmitting and what not. This is the only pic I have so far, is it too low?
Dude. Get rid of those springs. Those definitely aren't stock, as stock packs are 4 leafs, OR someone got two add-a-leafs and threw them in there. Either way, as is seen in the middle pic, the pack is damaged. The main leaf is bent in a couple of different directions and it appears there is a lot of rust on those springs AND it looks like your u-bolts are maxed out. You're better off just getting replacement stock packs if you're wanting to keep the stock height, or buying a whole new suspension if you're wanting to lift it. Either way, those springs aren't safe.

Exactly this. You'll burn the finals up in the radio if you attempt to transmit out of phase. You can listen all you want, but key up a mic with an antenna that's at a 4:1 SWR and it won't be long till it's cooked.

Oh definitely. Just saying.... the comfort scale goes as follows:
WJ seats
ZJ seats
97+ seats
94-96 seats (roughly... I don't know what the year split was that went from a steel pan style seat bottom to the suspension-type seat bottom)
rocks
nails
bed of hot coals
hemorrhoids
steel bleechers after 15 hours
93 and down seats
