That is what is called a pulsation dampener. Fuel pumps don't flow smooth. That helps smooth out the fuel pressure. You won't really notice it gone

Where'd you source your parts? I usually find by the time I pay for individual parts I'm getting close to the price of the kit, and then I factor in fab and paint time and I might as well have bought the kit. The older I get the more and more valuable I'm finding my time to be.

I bought a 97 up console to upgrade my 93 xj but didn't think I would need the console bracket, needless to say, I need it. Anybody willing to get the measurement of the console bracket so I can fab up my own? It's the bracket that is commonly known to break and people usually replace it with a metal one. Thanks
