XJ Ask the Question Thread
So I picked this thing on the cheap and have been slowly putting it back together. Anyways, the Heater Valve and the Tee were completely rusted through so I picked up new ones thanks to O'reilly's doing a price match from stuff I found online. My question is there are 2 vacuum lines that come from the heater core, one is black the other is pink(red? jeep sat for a long time) and goes to the heater valve. Well the pink vacuum line was snapped in half, my question, to replace that line am I going to have to pull the dash to get to it?
Edit: Also the dash pad is split and cracked, just wondering what other year's are compatible that I would be able to pull.

Vehicle: 2000 Cherokee 4.0 with 3.5 Rubicon short arm lift; ARB front and rear lockers; skid plates engine/transmission/transfer 93,000 Very Good condition entire vehicle.
Tires: BFG All Terrain T/A 31x10.5 R15 LT 109S on stock rims
QUESTIONS:
What advantage would be gained going to 33s??? Disadvantage?
What are the required changes to lift (IE: 4.5" or even a complete redo with the long arm 5.5?)
What are the required changes to tire well clearance to accommodate 33s?? FYI I can easily remove the bolt on OEM wheel well fender.
Should I stay with BFG?? Update to the new BFG( K2?)?
Should I change rims to 17" or is this required?
If I change Rims what brand/model? (I tend think steel rims for strength off road). Is there a rim which would place the tire further out, providing a wider foot print (verses using lug spacers to push stock rim out further)?
Retired on a budget but with dreams of driving from Tucson to California and doing the Rubicon Trail this summer (31 scrape bottom all the way; 33's scape but better clearance; 35s capable Rubicon Trail tires or so I am told)
Thanks

My one window that wouldn't work was the driver's rear. I took the power unit out and resoldered the connections. Now it works. I can't guarantee that was the problem though. Sometimes the metal connectors at the switch might be corroded or not get good connection.

Where can I find OEM replacement for the Dana 30 axle shaft seals? I broke one off yesterday when replacing the axle joints. And all I can ever find online is aftermarket fancy replacements. Not exactly in my price range and defintely not what I'm looking for. Ha.

Are you referring to the plastic debris guard or the inner seal?

I've noticed the xj has had a more noticeable ie rough shift from first to second regardless of temp. (cold or warm). all other shifts are smooth. fluid is adequate.
adjusted throttle cable pretty recently. thinking it could be a sensor of some sort. google search was pretty lame. lately it seems to bring up mostly grand Cherokee and even new Cherokee results.
was hoping for some ideas. TIA
