I may still give replacing the muffler myself a shot but I'm already getting grief from the girlfriend since I just had spinal surgery a few months ago and she's freaked about me sliding under the Jeep on my back to work. (I mean it's not like I'm going to climb under there and try to jack the Jeep up with my feet but she may have a point...)
Time to see if you got what you paid for, good surgery!

I'm too confused now lol.. I figured you could still use the lockers with a new carrier because the locker essentially replaces the spider gears and when you re-gear you still use your stock spiders.

if it's a lunchbox locker then yes u can use it even when u regear. But if the locker is full case then no. U ll need a specific size depending on the ratio

for dana 30s. a full case locker has the same break as the regular gears. because the bolts wouldnt match up.

like someone else has said. a lunchbox locker which takes the place of the spiders will work when you change gear ratios. the spiders stay within the carrier. the difference between the 2 carriers is the size where the ring gear bolts on. here's a picture of my spartan locker in my D30 with 3.55 gears. I have another D30 thats a 3.73 that used to have the exact same locker I have in it.

Default Thrust Angle off.

Is there any solution to correct the rear thrust angle other than replacing leaf springs? My jeep is so close to being straight with the RE drop brackets, this is extremely annoying.

Thanks for any help!

Don't they have a reclining adjustment? My seats don't - only two positions.

What are the downsides of doing this, if any?

I am aware of older motors having an oil blow-by issue, but the motor in mine had been rebuilt perhaps 20k ago and such blow-by shouldn't be a huge issue.... (hopefully)

Thanks for the insight you have!

Renix Vacuum Harnesses

The vacuum harness that attaches to the front of the valve cover and includes the grommet/fitting, and is called the front harness, is Napa part number BK 715-1367

The vacuum harness that is closest to the air cleaner, EGR etc, and is called the rear harness, is Napa part number BK-715-1366.

The tube from the rear of the valve cover to the intake manifold is part number 715-1365 and comes with the valve cover grommet.

I figured if I told him that, you would say to just put an air filter on top.

Those Napa parts are fairly cheap as well.

Thank you for the part number and recommendation to use the stock part. That way, it seems that vacuum in the airbox will draw vapor out of the valve cover...?

Actually, the vapor is drawn out through the fixed orifice in the rear and clean air is drawn IN from the air cleaner.

How come you're not at work?

So i know you can make a bastard pack for an xj with s10 leaf springs, but I recently picked up an s15 jimmy and was wondering if i could make a bastard pack for it with xj springs. Anybody ever done or heard of doing that?
