Quick question, I know that the 1999+ Cherokee uses a thrust plate with the camshaft but is the camshaft itself different from the earlier Cherokees or do they all use the same camshaft?

Thanks

If they're 2.5" wide then go for it!

Maybe yall can help? I have an 88 xj, I replaced the fuel pump, and the person who had it before me cut the plug off the wires coming from the jeep. So i then had to void all warranty when i cut the plug off the pump side.

My question is, I wired it backwards by mistake. Can that burn the fuel pump out?
The Jeep wont start, it wants to so bad, that i killed my battery.

Default T-Case issue?

Hello,

Just posted a new post and then I saw this sticky thread. Here is the link to the other.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/new-guy-problem-200686/

Basically having a weird grinding when in 4H that sounds bad. Still drives fine in 2H. What should I look at?

Thanks

Don't engage 4WD I dry pavement. It locks everything together and will cause damage

Hope I'm doing this right. Apologies if I'm not.

Having trouble with the clutch on a 1991 Cherokee. Truck is a 4.0l, 4x4 with an AX15 manual transmission. The pedal has very little pressure. Roughly 90% of the time it will not go into gear without grinding. New clutch and master cylinder. Actually, the master cylinder has been replaced three times and the clutch twice under this event. Transmission shop just pulled the transmission and found no signs of leaking, but there are a few burnt/discolored spots on the clutch plate. They say this is why there is no pedal. Doesn't seem to me that burnt/discolored spots on the plate would have anything to do with the hydraulic system and/or lack of clutch pedal. Anyway, anyone have an idea as to what the problem may be? Thanks.

Some aftermarket discs are a tad too thick. May have to "burn it in".

My 95 xjs blinkers, hazard, and brake lights just went out. No fuses are blown. I've check on other forums, and they say it could be the turn signal relay? I'm newer to this, so where exactly under the dash is this switch, and could this even be the problem?
