Couldn't really anticipate that lol
Wasn't my Jeep. He broke down where we shouldn't have been, and I couldn't get traction to pull him. Had to leave it overnight, bought a winch today, mounted it in the TSC parking lot, winched him up the hill, and towed him all the way back to the road. (Aaron, it was a fire road in the watershed.)
Got him on the road five minutes before DNR showed up, and the agent said the $250 fine would've been over $5,000 with jail time and an impounded Jeep if he'd seen it on the trail.
We hadn't realized it was illegal land until we got to the bottom of the trail, and then we couldn't get out.
I ended up (extremely luckily) getting off free, and he has a new winch once we take it off mine and mount it on his. (I can't wait cause I missed my light bar tonight.)
Let me be very clear for the youngins:
Illegal wheeling, especially on state land, is no joke. I could be in prison right now, and a matter of just a couple minutes (after a 36 hour ordeal) kept me free.
Don't **** around with unauthorized land use.

My leaf springs at least on the right side are shaking and making very weird noises on when taking off. Could this just be bad bushings? My leaf springs are basically flat and worn, but I do not want to replace them until I get my lift on.
