I couldn't find this exact symptom while searching, so here it goes:
When I accelerate from a stop, I get a 'clunk' in the vehicle. Seems to be coming from the rear end, could be described as a 'slip' I suppose, but does not do it any other time. If I accelerate from a stop very gently, it does not do it. What should I check first? Thx

I'm changing the transmission filter and gasket. I drained the fluid and removed all the bolts. I tried taking the pan off and as I am pushing it back and forth my whole tranny moves side to side. Is this normal??
I will be waiting on replies so I can finish this job. Thanks in advance!

Ok i know this sounds funny, but i cant seem to find the neutral safety switch on my transmission.
I am pretty sure it is the problem with my reverse lights not working. I have been all over the transmission and cant find anything that looks triangular on the passenger or the driver side.
I have 1995 jeep Cherokee sport auto 3ps 4x4 6cyl 4.0 lt
if anyone has a picture of there transmission showing exactly where it is locate i would really appreciate it.
I have looked online and seen some switches that look more like plugs that are around $20 and others that are triangular that are around $150
i know its not a fuse or a bulb and judging from what i have read in my book it must be this switch.
problem is i cant find the thing. any help would be great as my inspection is coming up at the end of the month and i have to have it working.
Thanks in advance for any help with this

Today was not a good day. I put my brackets back on the coil, made sure all bolts were grounded. Connected the battery and no start. I can here the starter click but the engine won't turn over.
I had the coil out, I also had the computer unpluged and I had the battery diconnected. I checked to make sure everything was pluged back in, I checked the battery and it has juice.
Would a uncleared code prevent the engine from turning over? I wont get my code scanner untill this week some time. Anyone have some suggestions?
I had the battery load tested and they said it was good, just needed a little recharge, had them recharge it. I went out and put my meter on the starter and I got full power at the starter. But when I try to start the jeep just get one click.......geuss my next step is to have the parts store test the starter? Or is it a pretty sure thing that the starter is toast?
Just is weird, the starter was working yesterday, do they usally just go like that?

No, I haven't tried the screwdriver method. It's dark and cold here in good old Michigan. Plus Electricity and I are not friends (learned from numerous home improvment projects) so I rather do that when its light out....LOL!
Well then, I guess it's time for a brew! Did you ever hear what Budweiser stands for? Because U Deserve What Every Individual Should Enjoy Regularly!

Quick Question.
When you talk about a new exhaust and how you get a good sound. That all comes from the muffler. So is this all I would need to get that nice sound. I was reading a thread on someone who had a Super 44 with piping. That's what I want to look into. Is this all I would need?

Thanks, Jon
P.S I know it's a stupid question, but bear with me while I learn.
EDIT: I think I need 2 1/4 not 2.5
Would this fit then?
