Hopefully this is the right place to ask this: I'm in the market for some new coil spacers/bushings. Any certain ones anybody would recommend? I was thinking about going with these?

I just want something simple, cheap and effective. I'm getting tired of the springs making noise while daily driving. The oem ones are shot haha

Default deep puddle. now my batteRry. voltage says its dead.

I went wheeling yesterday for an hour and I went threw a puddle just under the top of the wheel. On my way out after that I looked down and check guages is on and my batterry is on 9 just staying there! I need advice if there's somthing I should check before I take my batteRry and alternator out. Is there a sensor by the alternator that could of fried?

You're alternator is probably on its way out. I don't how big you're lift and tires are but water up to the top of the wheel could've got your alt wet. And if it was already old... probably sealed the deal with water.

I'm going to be doing a coolant change today, I plan on just draining the old fluid, and then refilling it from the reservoir. Is there a better strategy to go about it that I can do to clean it out better? I have no problems with heating issues, just figured it's old fluid and want to do some preventative maintenance.

Hey CF, thanks for all your support, been a great help. Tackling another problem. My power locks have been not working, so I am trying to fix the issue.

Do not have a manual for my jeep, but looked online and said to check fuse box under steering column, if any fuses are shot, replace them. I did, still not working. Wondering if I am missing something.

I fixed the interior light fuse issue, dash/instrument panel light fuse issue fixed when I checked fuse box under steering column.

Send a bro some tips. Please!

Thanks

You could use some radiator flush with water. Drain old, fill with water and flush stuff. Run it til the tstat opens and then for a while after. Drain, repeat if needed. Fill with clean coolant.

Okay, I'll look for some radiator flush when I head to the parts store. Is it just like a special soap for the cooling system or something?

There should be a code on the block just behind the distributor between cyl 2 & 3.
² 1st Digit—The year (8 = 1998).
² 2nd & 3rd Digits—The month (01 - 12).
² 4th & 5th Digits—The engine type/fuel system/compression ratio (MX = A 4.0 Liter (242 CID) 8.7:1 compression ratio engine with a multi-point fuel injection system).
² 6th & 7th Digits—The day of engine build (01 -31).

FOR EXAMPLE: Code * 801MX12 * identifies a 4.0 Liter (242 CID) engine with a multi-point
fuel injection system, 8.7:1 compression ratio and built on January 12, 1998.

Cool man thanks! Awesome pictures! I think I will try my luck with the 3 inch. If I have probs with it I can just ride my street bike untill I can get the parts to fix the problem. Hope my XJ is one of those lucky ones that doesnt need anything extra! lol OH also, where do I go to find the vendor site?

Working on changing the coolant and flushing it out. Does anyone have any pics or any advice as to where the block drain plug is? To do a complete flush the haynes manual say to drain the radiator and block. But I can't find the plug they mention.

not worth the effort. It's behind/under the exhaust manifold, but it's a square hole, and it's something like 5/16" or 8mm, which you have to either make a tool for, or spend $$$$ on the correct size.

Just flush from the coolant hoses and be done with it, unless your junk is REALLLLLLLY bad (opaque brown/red)
