One more question, should stock brake lines be long enough for just on road driving? I

On 3"? Front is sketchy, rear is okay. Check this out: http://liftyourxj.com/tweaks#BrakeLines

Brake hoses for a Jeep YJ Wrangler are 3" longer and a direct fit. Cheap too

For 3" you can extend or relocate the front lines. I would lengthen the rear line. I got a braided stainless steel line from Rubicon Express on Amazon for under $40.

2 questions:
1) I broke the heads off both of the top bolts for my rear drivers side shock. what's the easiest way to get to them from above to grind them out, if I can?
2) How the deuce do I get the bottle jack, lug nut wrench and bottle jack wrench back into the back of the spare tire?

Actually the easiest way is to punch out the welded nuts that they broke in. If you have air tools it's easy, otherwise get a punch and a BFH and bash the thing in. The nut will break its welds and fly around up there. Fish in a new bolt from the top with some wire and there you have it. Writeup is here: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/br...-guide-150384/

Actually they live under the rear seat. Fold it forward and there's a storage compartment with a little bracket for securing them.

1. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/re...-broke-120358/

2. if your jeep is lifted much at all the bottle jack is almost useless. time for a high lift. my jeep has a bracket under the back seat passenger side that holds the bottle jack and the bottle jack tool. well it use to anyways.
