Ha, I buy OEM/parts store radiators. They're half the price and work just fine.

Should of, I was hoping the "heavy duty CSF" one would be a little less prone to cracking and getting all ripped up by brush, then they send me this instead, smh

Default rear main

I was dumb and didnt use the shoehorn while installing the block side of the rear main. I got the seal almost all the way in and pealed back a little bit of the back edge of the seal. The part that shaved away is still attached pretty good and makes me wonder if a lil bit of rtv would remedy this lil problem. Anyone have an idea, I know i should just go buy a new one and not bother but Im having a hard time bringing myself to buy another one. Just rebuilt the top end and have spent alot of cash I probably shouldnt have, so what do you guys think

Are you still driving around with a busted head (gasket)?? Because that's the #1 way to kill it
Thanks again for all your advice. I am just really thrown off with whats up with my Jeep. Last three days, I have not lost any coolant at all. So at this point I figure I can throw out the possibility of a bad head gasket, but at the same time then where does my coolant go on certain other days. I drive everyday 60~70 btw. Sometimes I lose coolant, and sometimes I dont.

Proper thing to do is replace it, however I should say I did thr same thing, figured that at 250k on a V8 GC itll last the rest of the time we had it and used it anyway. It went to 300,500 before we traded it, still running well enough to survive some "abuse" for a bit and then went to the pick and pull. (long story) It wasnt leaking at that point. We got rid if it due to all around falling-apartness.

I have a question: I drive a 91 XJ and this is the third year I've noticed a problem with steering. In the morning, if the temperature was below 40 degrees overnight, the steering "sticks" for a moment after startup, even if warmed up a little. Im wondering if there could be some sort of buildup in the valves or something? Anyone have any info?

Change/flush the power steering fluid first.

Couple things to check.

Feel the heater hoses that run into the firewall.

With the engine warm both of these hoses should be hot to the touch.

If neither of them are hot then you have a clog in the system or low coolant.

If one of them is hot and the other is cold then you have a clog in the heater core.

If both are hot but you still don't have hot air inside then there's something wrong with your blend door.
