Although what you said is correct, you can use regular hardwire to weld SS to carbon steel. No issues with strength or wear-ability. 2 ways to skin a cat I suppose.

I was looking for a part number on parts overstock. Anyone have the part number for the 4.0 automatic front driveshaft. I need the dirt cap for the slip yoke.

Default A ZJ spring question because I'm a newbie

Hey everyone, I'm new to Jeep Xj's and I have a question. It's a question that I know have been covered million times but I can't seem to find anything on it regarding the year of the ZJ.

I've been reading that V8 ZJ front springs fit on my 98 XJ, so I found a 2000 V8 ZJ at a local upull and took out the front springs and their isolators (tops and bottoms).

QUESTION: Did I take the wrong year ZJ springs? The top and bottom of these springs are NOT the same diameter like my XJ springs and other pictures of ZJ springs that I see. Will these fit my XJ?

Thanks... dumb me should've done more research before heading out to the yard. I was actually out there looking for E30 parts when I came across this *WJ*. Alright, this gives me a great excuse to go back to the junker and get the correct springs and then use these WJ springs as a core.

Thanks... I still have a lot of learn.

Around 3k RPM and up, I get a loud noise. I think it's metal spinning on metal. First time I heard it, I was trying to figure out which car by me had a turbo.

I haven't popped the hood yet, but I'm thinking it's the idler pulley I recently replaced. Any other likely culprits?

Yep. Should be a button on the rear one to have them either on or off.
