Someone is selling a 2004 liberty for $1000 and it overheated. Thinking about looking at it and fixing it up and keep it. If its not 4x4 I'll sell it. How hard would it be to put a 4.0 in it?

If you can fix the engine that's in it then I'd say go for it. If you have to replace the engine then I'd say pass.

I bought a 2003 Renegade with a broke timing chain for 1k.

I had a hard time finding an engine and when I did I had to pay 2k for it.

Got it bolted in, drove it for a year and sold it for 8k.

3.7s are hard to find and a pain in the *** to work on.

If it costs 1k then there's something more wrong with than overheating but it might be worth a look. Especially if it's clean and 4wd.

I wouldn't even begin to attempt to install a 4.0 in a liberty. I highly doubt it'd fit in the engine bay.

That's because it's a weak *** incomplete parts list. Go ask them.

I vote IRO bent LCAs for 0-6.5" lift. The bend gives you more droop, and all their parts are crazy strong.

Rent a car dolly. Pull the rear shaft and go.

Don't fool with a tow bar.

Where are you? Where are you coming from? How far are you going to have to tow it?
