Right on. So it just gotta match the amp. Any advantages to one or the other? I don't know jack about electrical.
I'd want a mono amp for the sub right?

No idea as for (dis)advantages between the two, I faintly remember something about distortion but I'd just look up reviews on the products. Yes just a mono amp.

This whole thing is confusing me lol.
I looked at an amp. 300w @ 1 ohm, 150w @ 2 ohms, 75w @ 4 ohms. ???
So I should get an amp that's 400w @ 2 ohms? The sub is 400w power handling, 2 ohms.
I need a subwoofers for dummies.

ok .. so .. start her up cold no problem little sluggish but im not sure if its in my head from driving the new DD. drive for maybe 15-20 min.. shut her down..and any time after that that the engine is still warm, starts up no problem but is real sluggish, idles ok (always has a slight shudder while idling), when i start to get it rolling if i take my foot off the gas it instantly drops rpm down to about 500 and if i brake the needle almost bottoms out until i come to a complete stop then evens out to just under 1k. after that its gone .. i checked injectors for any leaking and turned up nothing, all good.. both manifolds have recently had to be replaced.. and as far as i can tell there are no leaks (used starter fluid) haven't tried to seafoam it yet since i got the manifolds on (i say that because it has eaten almost half a can at once before replacing them and wouldn't stall).. and now i written a book

im going to start searching for a spare tire for my cherokee. did the mount, tire, or tool kit change at all in the 97+ model. also are the zjs use the same spare tire as xjs. thanks.
I have a 96 jeep Cherokee sport and I am having transmission issues. it keeps going from 4th to 3rd gear while on the highway 65-75mph. I have tried everything, tcu fuse, clean grounds, tps, fluid and filter change, cable adjustment, etc. I am also running 2 high powered amplifiers in my sound system. Could this be starving amps from the TCU giving me the shifting issue? I have not upgraded the stock alternator
I have a quick auto transmission question. My 97 xj with a 4.0 has been having some issues lately. After starting the idle is at about 1300 (used to be ~700) and it has been slipping in between gears and jumping in and out of neutral when I am just driving it around town. Fluid smells and looks good. Any ideas?
