Hey guys. I'm curious what kind of MPG yall get doing some towing. Not towing cars but let's say a 5x8 cargo trailer full of household stuff and a couple of things here and there in the Jeep...

Do yourself a favor. Get a lift kit with everything needed for 4.5" lift. You'll have a horrible ride

It really depends on the speed you'll be going, shape of the trailer or your stuff, and the weight of everything.

Is there an issue with mounting a CB antennae (4ft Firestick) to the front driver side fender? All I see are guys mounting it to the rear tail light areas. Just curious if theres any real reason or just preference.

Taillight is out of the way and doesn't require holes drilled. It also projects the signal in a more front-to-rear orientation, whereas the fender would be slightly off to an angle. There's no problem with a fender mount as long as you're careful not to rip it off.

I used one of the U Haul tandem trailers with surge brakes (6x10?) to move my brother a few hundred KM. Mostly highway I was down to like 18-20 MPG on a trip that normally gives me 26+ MPG. Around town with that beast was no fun... maybe 12. Full cargo trailer, I figure total weight around 2500-3000 lbs. Fiberglass walls with aluminum framing, base frame appeared to be galvanized steel. Did about 100 KM/H the full distance shifting as appropriate (3rd gear on hills). Stock 4.0L with manual transmission.

Ah okay. Thanks. Yeah I'm getting one of the 5x8s from uhaul to move again instead if trailing the jeep behind one of their big box trucks. Right now my jeep gets 17mpg (thats mostly city with maybe a few highway trips) so imagine its gonna suck. Texas to Michigan that's a lot of highway so I hope I don't go into single digit mileage lol.

I didnt... im down to like 6 now after the lift. My O2s seem fine but im gonna replace them soon. Cant find a vaccuum leak so i think thats good. As far as i know, everything checks out sensor wise. Might have a small exhaust leak because i get a whistle after 15 minutes of driving, no idea where from though.
