When I bought my 98 xj the oil psi gauge read 30psi while driving but dropped to 10psi at idle. I changed the oil twice over the course of 1000 miles and it helped with the psi, however when I changed the oil psi sending unit it seemed to do the tricks since while driving it read 45psi then dropped to 25-30psi at idle. Everything was good until today I noticed that after it warmed up it was only reading 30psi driving and if I switched it over to neutral to slow down it would drop really low, almost under the 10psi mark. Does it sound like the sending unit is messed up?

I ran 33s. Do what you want, man. Standard answer is 31s.

Trimmed to the highest lip of the fender in the front, and did a standard cut and fold on the rear fenders. Was going to do the rear quarter fold, but didn't get that far.

So, if I have a stock XJ for winter commuting (0% trail use), then I should just stick with 225's instead of 235's. It looks cool to have a "beefier" tire at 235, but in reality, there is no benefit for larger/wider tires for a road car.

You wont notice a difference in either... other than how much you pay for em

In theory, the narrower 225 would be better on ice. In reality it would come down to a difference of tread pattern.
