I've heard of people draining it out, filtering out any large gasket pieces and reusing the fluid because they swear by it, have no experience with it myself. Some jeeps get finicky when you try to use all the specialized fluids and additives so beware.
But to answer your question, yes it is a great product...and better than say non-synthetic type lubes fur-shure.

I'm just asking because I have a 4 dollar quart of autozone crap in mine and was hoping that a thicker better oil might quiet my locker down a little

Dex/merc III - usually sold as "multi-vehicle atf"
And yes 75w-90

THANKS! so the ATF4 I already have will be fine? All the fluid blends seem so similar, curious to what the differences are between the fluids anyway. not sure how picky the tranny/tc are..

No. ATF+4 will only work in the transfer case. You can gamble with it in your AW4 but a lot of people report slipping. They're supposed to be filled with Dexron 3 (sold as D/M Compatible)

How long can I expect a (93) cherokee to hold up to moderate wheeling?

I keep getting razzed about the "unibody" thing, but I know it's not like a car, XJs are pretty tough. Still, they don't last forever. I'm trying to decide if just planning on swapping bodies every few years is a good idea, or fork over the extra dough and get frame stiffeners (which would be thrown out with the rest of the vehicle of the frame give out elsewhere).

I already have about 3 years/ 8-9 trips on it in Little Naches, and it's had no armor or other stiffening. I'm planning a cage and adding rock sliders this year as well as a front bumper that acts as a steering brace and trusses up the whole front end well.
