I thought they were different lengths due to the 2wd not having a t-case

Hey guys couple questions.

1. Is this a 8.8 rear? It's in a 91 windstar. Build sheet says it has lsd also. (I'll be building it for me jeep so that will come out.. But still)

2. If this is a 8.8 I'm getting it for free. Would it be better to build this rear than my c8.25? Or is the c8.25 stronger than the 8.8?

Thanks everyone

I'm going to be prepping the floor for bedliner today and I'm wondering what solvent to use to clean the floor. Monstaliner says not to use lacquer thinner, why not?

My only thought would be if there were any lacquer thinner on the floor when you lay the bedliner it would break it down and not adhere as well. I would just say if you use lacquer thinner just to make sure there isn't any left over on the floor... Even though it should just evaporate. Lol

I would use break cleaner. That's great stuff for all kinds of applications. You know that won't leave any residual stuff behind.

to clarify: original BCM re-installed, pcm restored to prior function, lesson learned. No SKIM. Donor is a 97...prior to SKIM? I assume the mismatched VIN on the BCM triggered the PCM to go "death mode". can swapping dome consoles cause the same issue???

I have the matched dome console and keyless entry remote from the donor car i took the BCM from. Can I use the donor car's console and keyless remote without fear of another "theft mode" incident? Can the receiver module for the remote in the overhead console trigger "theft mode"?This should be an easy, free, fix...if any console/remote can be swapped with no software conflicts (non-matching numbers).

Many screws, starting from just below your rear defrost/wiper buttons.. you'll also have to pull your parking brake some, and remove the other screws from beneath the plates by your P-brake and 4wd lever.. I feel like there's 6 screws total, maybe? ..they're just spread out throughout the length of the console.

I would use it. Yes I don't see why not. Just make sure everything is clean and clear when you do go to lay the bedliner down.

And then let us know how it comes out. I'm going to be doing to same to my 00.i did my 95 too but I was way disappointed with the quality of the product I used.

The chimes are a message. The number of times it beeps is usually correlated with a signal or code.. For example.. Low oil.. But I don't what they are on the cherokee

My center ball is shot on the front dS. Can I keep the joint itself and just get a rebuild kit for the center ball???? Or replace the whole thing. Next rebuilt a dS before. Curious

I did some research, the double cardon piece seems good just need that ball and spring. I have an 01 and just want to know what to get to rebuild.

You can get the centering ball and the little piece it rides in. I ordered from northerndriveline.com, I think I searched "1310 centering yoke"
